Cop On Top
The Berkshire County Law Enforcement Torch Run group for Special Olympics will be hosting “Cop on Top”, a fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Massachusetts. The event will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 and Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Wal-Mart located at 555 Hubbard Avenue in Pittsfield. The event will kick-off at 7am on Friday December 7th.
For 48 hours, law enforcement officers from all over Berkshire County will eat and sleep on the roof of Wal-Mart. This year our goal is to raise $55,000 or more for Special Olympics Massachusetts during the course of this fundraiser. Last year, through many generous donations we raised $53,000 during this two day event, shattering our goal to raise $50,000. All funds raised will provide year-round programming for local Special Olympic Athletes of all ages.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support Special Olympics. Law Enforcement officers from around the world get together in their off time to pursue the mission of Special Olympics. In Berkshire County alone, our LETR group raised over $58,000 for Special Olympics programming in 2011.
